As part of the “Siberia Charges” project, another 20 new electric charging stations have been installed in Krasnoyarsk.
The new equipment is located in densely populated residential areas and is located within walking distance to make it convenient for electric car owners to use it in everyday life. The installations are already operating in the Oktyabrsky, Sovetsky and Sverdlovsky districts of the city, as well as in the Solnechny microdistrict.
“Expanding the network of electric charging stations is not just an infrastructure project. This is an event with a large set of tasks to reduce the burden on the city’s environment and create a comfortable environment for residents. Each new station is another incentive for car owners to make a choice in favor of electric cars, in favor of modern and clean transport,” said Igor Zagorodniy, head of development programs at SGK.
The “Siberia Charges” project has been implemented by SGK since 2022 together with PJSC Rosseti Sibir. It is part of the Company’s comprehensive environmental program aimed at reducing the burden on the environment. Today, the fleet of SGK electric charging installations in Krasnoyarsk is 82 units, another station operates in Divnogorsk.

All equipment is under constant supervision of specialists and undergoes timely maintenance and repair. If we take into account the charging stations of other projects, then the total number of charging points for electric vehicles in Krasnoyarsk reaches 200. Thanks to the “Siberia Charges” project, the Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the five leading regions in Russia in terms of the number of installed electric charging stations. In addition, the Krasnoyarsk network is the largest beyond the Urals.
An increase in the number of chargers stimulates an increase in the fleet of electric cars, which, in turn, leads to a reduction in harmful emissions from vehicles. Today, about 1,000 electric vehicles are registered in Krasnoyarsk. Thanks to their use, the annual reduction of greenhouse emissions into the atmosphere is already about 880 tons.

In parallel with the development of the electric charging network, SGK is implementing other large-scale environmental initiatives within the framework of the federal project “Clean Air” of the national project “Ecological Well-Being”. Thus, as part of the “New Heat” project, 640 private sector houses in Krasnoyarsk have already been converted to electric heating. The reduction in emissions is about 2 thousand tons per year.
The modernization of large generating facilities does not stop either. At Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1, as part of the environmental program, 13 out of 15 planned new electric precipitators have already been installed, two boiler units have been replaced, and two turbines are being installed. The total investment in the modernization of CHPP-1 is estimated at 22 billion rubles. The environmental reconstruction of the station will be completed in 2026. As a result, particulate matter (dust) emissions will be reduced by 80% and overall emissions will be reduced by 20%.
In addition, 37 non-environmentally friendly boiler houses have been replaced in the city, and their consumers have been switched to the power of thermal power plants, where modern electric precipitators have been installed and constant monitoring is carried out.
The expected result of the implementation of SGC's comprehensive environmental program in 2026 is a reduction of 8.7 thousand tons of emissions into the atmosphere.
