An official from the Mansky district faces a prison sentence for paying for poor-quality landscaping of a public garden.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal investigation has been completed against the former head of the Pervomansky village council of the Mansky district. The woman is accused of exceeding official powers (clause “e” of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) during the improvement of the Victory Anniversary public garden, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.

The administration of the village council concluded a municipal contract worth more than 400 thousand rubles for the renovation of the square with a commercial organization in December 2023. The contractor had to install small architectural forms, landscaping and lighting.

A month later, documents on the completion of the work were handed over to the village council, although in fact they were not completed in full, as the official knew. The contractor received the full amount, and then the village council had to hire another company to complete the work. Because of this, the municipal budget suffered material damage.

The criminal case was sent to the prosecutor's office to resolve the issue of approving the indictment and subsequently sending it to court for consideration on the merits.

A criminal case for fraud has been initiated and is being investigated against the director of the contracting organization (Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
