A Krasnoyarsk resident sued the city's largest management company for damages for a car damaged by snow

The Sverdlovsk District Court of Krasnoyarsk ordered the management company toHousing cooperative” to compensate for damage caused by falling snow on automobile.

The claim was filed by the owner of the vehicle. He indicated that in February 2024, a foreign car “Honda Shuttle” was parked at the entrance of house No. 101 on the street. Klyuchevskaya, where he discovered damage to the windshield, roof panel and cladding due to snow falling from the roof and eaves of the house.
Representative in court “Housing cooperative” did not recognize the claims and asked to refuse their satisfaction, citing the fact that the damage was caused through the fault of the contractor, and not the management company.
But during the investigation it was established that the car was damaged precisely as a result of snow falling from the roof of the house. As a result, the court recovered damages in the amount of 435,000 rubles from LLC Management Company “ZhSK” in favor of the man, as well as expenses for conducting an independent assessment and paying state fees.
