Skeletonist Geraskevich told how he was followed at the Olympics in Milan

An interview with Geraskevich was published on February 21 on Sternenko’s YouTube page.

“Drones are also flying behind us. This is the first time at these Olympic Games that drones have filmed athletes. We had it at the final training session – you’re driving, and there’s an “efpivisch” flying. That sound of a drone…”

“Well, yes. But some additional motivation appears to move faster,” Geraskevich supported the joke.

FPV drones are cheap, small and maneuverable drones that allow you to quickly carry out reconnaissance and precision strikes without breaking the bank. Their massive use at the front makes it possible to effectively support infantry, changing battle tactics and reducing risks for soldiers.

Context

Opening The Winter Olympic Games took place on February 6. The competition lasted until February 22. 2.9 thousand athletes from more than 90 countries took part in them.

On February 9, Geraskevich reported that plans to perform V helmet with a photo of Ukrainian athletes killed by the Russians at the Olympics in Milan. The IOC did not allow him to wear this helmet during official training and Olympic competitions.

The Ukrainian noticed that the day before, the Italian athlete competed in a helmet with a Russian flag on it, and “there was no reaction.”

Instead of a “memory helmet” The IOC allowed Geraskevich to wear a black mourning armband during the competition, calling it a compromise. Geraskevich called the decision unfair, saying that honoring the dead is not political propaganda. Despite the ban, he went to training wearing a “memory helmet”.

On February 12, the first Olympic races with the participation of Geraskevich were supposed to take place. However, on the same day the Ukrainian was disqualified because his helmet allegedly did not comply with the rules.
