The police in Vaslui opened an investigation on Thursday, after a video was shared on TikTok in which a minor was brutally assaulted by other teenagers. The assaulted boy is 16 years old, and the three aggressors are close in age, according to the police.
The incident took place in the town of Puiesti in Vaslui county on January 16, in a bus station, the police announced, amid a spontaneous conflict.
The footage shows several teenagers on a sidewalk pouncing on a boy, punching him in the head. At one point, the victim falls on a bench, and the three aggressors hit with even greater intensity. One of them kicks the boy on the bench, according to the images that HotNews does not publish due to
their hardness.
Several people witness the violent incident without intervening. A single voice can be heard in the background of the footage as it shouts at the teenagers to stop hitting and leave the victim alone.
Both the aggressors and the victim are students, the police said.
“Following the first investigations carried out, the police identified the injured person, a 16-year-old minor, from Voinești commune, Vaslui county, and the persons who allegedly assaulted him, hitting him with fists and feet, respectively 3 minors aged between 16 and 17 years, from the same commune. In the case, a criminal case was opened under the aspect of committing crimes of hitting or other violence and disturbing order and peace public, investigations will be carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bârlad Court to establish the circumstances in which the aggression took place and the ordering of legal measures”, informed the representatives of the Vaslui Police Inspectorate.
The incident in Vaslui comes after another violent case involving minors that shocked public opinion. Two 15-year-old teenagers from the town of Cernei, Timiș county, were arrested on Thursday, after they killed a colleague of the same age, and then set his body on fire and buried it in the yard of the house. A third 13-year-old minor also participated in the assault, but given his age, he is not criminally responsible for his actions.
The entire community of Cenei is in a state of shock. The parents are afraid to take their children to school, accusing that the 13-year-old student is free, and the school management cannot prohibit his presence in the institution, said the mayor of the commune.
