The Romanian Football Federation came up with a series of clarifications, after it was rumored that Alexandru Musi would have been forced to train with the U21 team, even though he had previously announced that he was feeling discomfort.
Before the first match of Romania's U21 action in November, against Finland, an official statement announced that Alexandru Musi will not be part of the squad. According to primasport.ro, the staff of the U21 national team would have ignored the fact that Musi has a muscle problem, and he continued to train and chose a more serious injury.
In today's press conference, asked head-on by the Gazeta Sporturilor reporter if he has information that Alexandru Musi was forced to train, Zeljko Kopic denied it, but FRF came up with a series of clarifications in which they told the evolution of the Dynamo player in the training camp.
The FRF's clarifications in the case of Alexandru Musi's injury: “The player has complained of medical problems since the reunion of the team”
“Considering the information published in the media regarding the medical situation of the player Alexandru Musi in the U21 national team, the national team staff considers it necessary to make the following clarifications:
The player has complained of medical problems since the reunion of the team, which is why he was subjected to three medical checks, without any injury being confirmed;
Until the day before leaving for Finland, Musi trained normally with the rest of the team. A day before departure, the player complained of discomfort, which is why he underwent an ultrasound scan and underwent a specific treatment. Investigations revealed no medical problems;
As a precaution, on Wednesday morning, before the trip, the player did not participate in the training, continuing the treatment. Arriving in Finland, he did not perform the official training, being looked after and constantly monitored by the medical staff.
During his stay in Finland, until his return to the country, the player complained of a state of loading, which is why he followed a treatment program with infiltrations, under the supervision of the medical team;
After returning to Romania, the player trained normally, without alleging problems in training. He carried out further investigations and continued the treatment, and the results were still within normal limits, with no evidence of any injury;
Later, he participated in official training. However, during the evening, at the hotel, the player informed the staff that he did not feel able to perform, stating that he felt discomfort again;
All medical information confirms the above,” FRF reported.
Alexandru Musi was also injured in the previous action of the U21 “tricolors” in October, in a match against Cyprus. Alexandru Musi is the main U21 option for Dinamo. The current season he played in 17 games, scored 5 times and provided 3 decisive assists.
I don't want to go in that direction. I had information, I spoke with the national team coach, I spoke with Alex. That was the situation
We are always confused by injuries, but we have to adapt to the situation. First of all, we have to reach the play-offs, then we have to fight for a place in the European Cups. We also have the Cup. We only talk about the title at the end.
