A drone, detected by the Romanian army in the airspace of our country. Four combat aircraft raised from the ground

Two German Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft from Base 57 Mihail Kogălniceanu, in the service of the reinforced air police, took off last night, at 00:25, to monitor the air situation on the border with Ukraine, as a result of Russian air attacks in the vicinity of the river border with Romania, announced on Wednesday morning, MApN.
At 00:20 a Ro-Alert message was sent for the north of Tulcea county, and for a few minutes the signal of a drone was detected that penetrated approximately 8 km into the national airspace, from Vâlcov to Periprava and Chilia Veche, where it disappeared from the radar.
The drone reappeared intermittently on the radars, for about 12 minutes, from Colibași (Republic of Moldova) to Foltești (Galați county) and later in the area of Oancea (Republic of Moldova), being sent a Ro-Alert message in the north of Galați county at 00:59.
Two more aircraft, F-16s of the Romanian Air Force, were lifted from the 71st Air Base Câmpia Turzii.
The Eurofighter aircraft landed at Mihail Kogălniceanu at 01:50, and the F-16s of the Romanian Air Force returned to the base at Câmpia Turzii around 02:30.
No cases of ground impact of any air vehicle have been reported. According to MApN, teams of specialists are ready to start searching the field.
