Serious inconvenience also affected the buildings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, i.e. the local parliament. — After another Russian missile and drone attack, Ukrainian cities were left without electricity, water and heating. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is also currently deprived of these basic services. Nevertheless, we continue our work. Ukraine is still fighting – for the lives of its citizens and for the security of Europe. I appealed to colleagues from other parliaments not to remain silent, to strengthen support for Ukraine and to take joint action to stop Russian aggression and defend democratic values, said parliament speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.
What do we know about the situation in Kiev?
About 600 thousand people have left Kiev since January 9, when the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, appealed to residents to temporarily evacuate the city. After massive Russian attacks, half of the buildings in Kiev were left without heating, Klitschko said on Tuesday in an interview with AFP.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zelensky said that a significant number of ballistic and cruise missiles and over 300 strike drones were used in the Russian attack. The head of state emphasized that the most difficult situation currently prevails in Kiev and the Kiev Oblast.
