Donald Trump made public the messages he received from Emmanuel Macron. “My friend, I don't understand what you are doing in Greenland”

French President Emmanuel Macron told his US counterpart Donald Trump that they could hold a meeting after Davos on Thursday afternoon in Paris, according to a screenshot of Macron's messages to Trump, which were posted by the US president on Truth Social, Reuters reports.
“My friend, we totally agree on Syria. We can do great things on Iran. I don't understand what you are doing in Greenland,” the message begins, according to the screenshots.
The leader from the Elysee Palace then proposed to the US president “let's try to achieve great things”.
“I can organize a G7 meeting after Davos on Thursday afternoon in Paris. I can invite the Ukrainians, Danes, Syrians and Russians on the sidelines of the meeting,” the message published by Trump also states
Macron also invited Trump to dinner in Paris on Thursday before returning to the US. according to the screenshots.
Trump's response, if any, was not included in the screenshot.
The White House did not respond to Reuters' request for comment.
Shortly after these screenshots were published, Trump posted an image, most likely AI-generated, of himself alongside Marco Rubio and JD Vance placing an American flag in Greenland, suggesting it is American territory starting in 2026.
