A Latin language teacher from Timișoara, president of a polling station in the municipality, was detained by police for 24 hours, on Sunday, on the charge of recruiting minors for sexual purposes, informs the Timiș County Police Inspectorate, according to Agerpres.
A citizen complained to the Timișoara Police Section 3, on Saturday night, that a teacher, who was president at a polling station in the municipality, would have recruited a minor for sexual purposes.
Judicial sources told AGERPRES that the teacher teaches at a high school in Timisoara and that the boy is a former student.
The police officers of the Timișoara Criminal Investigation Bureau have taken over the case and started the checks, who established that, from February 2025 and until now, the 44 -year -old man would have sent several text messages through a social application that proposed to a 15 -year -old minor to meet for committing sexual acts.
The man was detained for 24 hours in terms of committing the crime of recruiting minors for sexual purposes.
