The former candidate for the presidential elections and the current mayor of Câmpulung, Elena Lasconi, harshly criticized the President of Romania, Sunday evening, in an interview granted to Digi24. Lasconi said that Nicușor Dan was “the candidate of the system” and that he is “an evil, proud and vindictive man”.
“He is a man of the system, the latter needing a man who can direct him,” Lasconi said, adding that “the president we have has nothing to do with morality.”
“That I am satisfied or dissatisfied, I don't know if anyone cares. I see who we have in Cotroceni. He is the president we deserve and, as I have said many times, it is a shame that we do not look at the morality of politicians. And when I say this, I think very clearly that the president we have has nothing to do with morality. He is a liar and he also lied in the election campaign. He is the product of the system and some services of marketing. He is an evil, proud and vindictive man,” said Elena Lasconi.
Lasconi insisted that she is not speaking out of anger: “You might think that maybe I am angry, but I don't feel anything anymore, do you believe me? It has been almost a year since it passed. It was a very difficult year for me and it was also a difficult year for the country. Because I wanted to unite people (…) What we have today in Cotroceni will not unite us”, continued the former presidential candidate.
The former candidate claimed that the first lie of the current president was related to the announcement of his presidential candidacy: “The first lie he told, since I entered big politics, was that he announced to me and the USR that he was going to run. And it was a lie. And that's a thin one, but it's of no importance to talk about him now, because I put a cross on him, so to speak — for me it no longer exists”, said Elena Lasconi.
