Zelensky announced personnel decisions due to insufficient protection of Ukraine

“With the Minister of Defense of Ukraine [Михаилом Федоровым] we talked about the work of air defense, checking the consequences of strikes and the circumstances of each Russian attack. Everything the enemy does must be analyzed down to every detail, and our counteraction, our defense must become much stronger,” Zelensky said.

The President emphasized that “it will happen.”

“There will also be decisions that are necessary to change our defense system, including personnel. Thanks to everyone who is helping now,” he said.

Zelensky also spoke about a conference call held today “on all issues of the emergency situation in the energy sector after the Russian strikes.”

“There are many tasks, and it is extremely difficult after this night and the Shahed hits in the Kiev region. Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen – work continues. Also in Odessa – the consequences of the strikes are being eliminated. Kharkov – it is difficult with electricity for more than 400 thousand people, also a consequence of the strikes. All repair teams, all the necessary forces, everything is involved,” he emphasized.

According to the president, “all political and legal decisions” have already been taken to increase electricity imports, and they need to be “immediately implemented.”

“This applies to everyone – both state-owned companies and private companies: I instructed officials to quickly deal with this,” Zelensky emphasized.

Context

Russian occupiers regularly shell Ukrainian infrastructure, in particular, recently, the Ukrainian energy sector, due to damage to which Ukrainians are forced to receive electricity in doses.
