The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court upheld the suspicion against the leader of one of the parliamentary factions. The press service of the HACC Appeals Chamber reported this on Facebook.
The surnames of the defendant are not mentioned in the message, but the circumstances of the case point to the leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko. She is suspected of offering bribes to Ukrainian parliamentarians.
“On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the HACC Appeals Chamber completed its consideration of the defense's appeals against the decision of the HACC investigative judge dated April 21, 2026 to refuse to satisfy a complaint against a notification of suspicion to the head of one of the parliamentary factions. Based on the results of the consideration, the panel of judges of the HACC Appeal Chamber left the defense's appeals unsatisfied, and the investigative judge's decision remained unchanged. The court concluded that The materials presented by the prosecution at this stage of criminal proceedings indicate the existence of a reasonable suspicion of committing a criminal offense, which is incriminated against the MP,” the release says.
It is also stated that the decision of the Appeals Chamber comes into force from the moment of its announcement, is final and is not subject to cassation appeal.
