Tartlets are an excellent choice for a holiday table. They are convenient, portioned and suitable for almost any filling. One of the unusual options is with avocado and shrimp. The filling is tender, fresh, not heavy at all and goes well with light drinks.
Ingredients (for 12–15 tartlets):
Ready-made tartlets – 12–15 pcs.
Ripe avocado – 1 pc.
Peeled boiled shrimp – 150–200 g
Lime – 1 pc.
Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
Sea salt – to taste
Fresh herbs for garnish – optional
How to cook:
- Boil peeled shrimp in salted water with bay leaf. Cool.
- Peel 1 ripe avocado, remove the pit and mash the flesh with a fork to a paste.
- Add the zest of half a lime, a pinch of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil. Stir, you get a soft, velvety mass with a citrus spark.
- Place a spoonful of avocado on the bottom of each tartlet.
- 2-3 shrimp on top, slightly raised with their tails up.
Garnish with microgreens or thin lime shavings.
Serve immediately. Within 10 minutes of assembling, the avocado will begin to darken and the shrimp will lose freshness. But in these 10 minutes, guests will have time to eat every crumb.
Bon appetit!
