A recording shared by the Lviv City Council on Facebook on Thursday shows the moment a Russian drone hit a playground. Nearby stands the monument to Stepan Bandera, which is highly controversial in Poland. The video shows a woman clearing snow from the path. Then the unmanned machine explodes.
“Ms. Ola has been cleaning our city for 10 years,” informs the Lviv council. “We see everything, let's thank her” – officials assure. At the time of the Russian drone strike, there was also a man nearby, who was also captured on the recording. Officials assure that he – like Mrs. Ola – was not injured.
The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadowy, announced the attack on Lviv on Thursday morning. “According to preliminary information, no one was hurt. The explosion wave slightly affected the tractor driver who was clearing snow, but he was fine. The shock wave broke windows in nearby buildings, in particular the polytechnic building and residential buildings,” he said via Telegram.
