The Ukrainian Armed Forces showed how three tons of explosives destroyed the pipe through which the Russians tried to get to Kupyansk

It is reported that in the process of conducting reconnaissance, regiment operators discovered an atypical, but critically important logistics channel for the occupiers.

We are talking about a pipe that the Russians used to infiltrate personnel into the northern outskirts of Kupyansk.

As the 429th indicated, this was a safe route that allowed the enemy to accumulate forces while bypassing fire control.

“The ACHILLES regiment began systematic work to destroy this route. Three tons of explosives were used to destroy the pipe. Subsequently, related units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces joined the operation to destroy the pipe,” the statement said.

A video of the destruction of a gas pipe was published on Facebook by the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment.

Context

On October 22, Russian media wrote that the command of the Russian army had already promised the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin the capture of Kupyansk and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, therefore, in order to improve the positions of the occupying forces, Moscow is delaying the peace negotiation process.

On October 26, the Chief of the General Staff of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, reported to Putin about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops near Kupyansk and Pokrovsk. Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, and later the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky denied this information.

On December 9, Syrsky reported that a “successful counter-sabotage operation” continues in Kupyansk, and emphasized that “the volume of Russian lies is many times greater than the actual pace of advance of Russian troops.”

On December 12, Zelensky recorded a video message against the background of the stele of the city of Kupyansk. The NSU “Charter” corps reported that the defense forces successfully repulsed the Russian offensive near Kupyansk.
