Ministries receiving money

According to the Uurgennce Ordinance regarding the rectification of the state budget for 2025, the Government supplemented the budget credits as follows:

  • Ministry of Finance: 20 billion lei. Of the total amount, over 12 billion go to the payment of interest, 500 million lei at the reserve fund, but also over 7 billion lei for financing projects from PNRR
  • The Ministry of Development receives about 2.5 billion lei. The amount of 1 billion lei will be allocated to the projects within the Anghel Saligny program, and 1.5 billion lei to those in PNRR.
  • Ministry of Energy: about 1.2 billion lei. “It is proposed to provide additional amounts in subsidies (+1,000.0 million lei) for the payment of compensation of electricity and thermal energy and other transfers (+200.0 million lei). In view of the execution of the budgetary expenses, savings have been identified mainly for goods and services (-1.1 million lei) as well as to non-financial assets (-1 million lei)”.
  • Ministry of Environment: 859 million lei.
  • Ministry of Economy: 416 million lei
  • Ministry of Education: 140 million lei
  • Ministry of Justice: 85 million lei
  • Permanent electoral authority: 169 million lei, in order to ensure the necessary funds for the reimbursement of the electoral expenses in the campaign for the President of Romania from 2025
  • The Romanian Intelligence Service: 92.8 million lei. Most money is destined for personnel expenses (75 million lei).
  • National Veterinary and Food Safety Authority: 70 million lei

Ministries who lose money

Also, the budget credits of the main authorizing officers, including:

  • Ministry of Investments and European Projects: – 3,246.5 million lei, per hip
  • Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure: -1.849.2 million lei, per balance.
  • Ministry of Finance: -668.3 million lei per balance.
  • Ministry of Internal Affairs: -164.8 million lei per balance.
  • General Secretariat of the Government: -146.0 million lei per balance.
  • Special Telecommunications Service: -127.6 million lei per balance.
