In the Uyarsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, at km 944 of the R-255 Siberia highway, a driver’s rash maneuver resulted in a serious accident with injuries.
It all happened on December 3rd morning. A 42-year-old driver of a Gazelle truck, moving from Krasnoyarsk in conditions of limited visibility due to a snowstorm, wanted to overtake the truck and drove into oncoming traffic, where he crashed into a Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a 64-year-old man.
As a result, the driver of the crossover and his four passengers were seriously injured, the traffic police reported.
A criminal case was opened against the culprit of the accident, who escaped with fright, under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. “Violation of traffic rulesresulting in negligence causing grievous harm health.”
