Megafon digitizes key objects of the Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk transport network

Megafon and Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk entered into an agreement on the creation of a secure digital infrastructure for gas transmission systems of Siberia and the Far East, which includes 14 thousand kilometers of pipelines and more than 200 production facilities.

The new project involves the formation of a modern communication infrastructure and the introduction of digital solutions for objects of the gas transport system. A secure infrastructure and mobile communications, as well as a system for monitoring equipment and software, will be organized on the basis of the MegaFon network.

Particular attention is paid to the safety and sustainability of the main gas pipelines: the operator plans to deploy a protected Traming network using domestic equipment and software. A reliable digital environment will increase control of production processes and minimize technological risks at facilities located in hard -to -reach areas of Siberia and the Far East.

Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk is operating more than 14 thousand kilometers of main oil and gas pipelines, and other production facilities located in Siberia and the Far East. Therefore, reliable and secure communication is a key element of strategic infrastructure.
