Gyor, the richest club in the world, could not miss the transfer. After intense negotiations, he made the move official today. Starting with the 2026/2027 season, Sarah will play in the Hungarian championship.
“I made the decision to leave the club at the end of the season and embark on a new adventure abroad. Obviously, it was a very difficult decision. I had to weigh the pros and cons and think it through very carefully. I think this is a hard opportunity to turn down because you never know what the future holds and that's why I made this decision.
I wanted to tell you this because you are very important to me and because this club is an essential part of my life. Here we started, here we achieved everything. That is why I can thank the club Metz for the fact that I am where I am today.
I hope you will continue to support me and be with me, but especially the club. Obviously, it will be very difficult to leave, but I hope from the bottom of my heart to finish the season strong”, Bouktit said in a message published on Metz's official website.

Bouktit continues a long list of transfers on the Metz – Gyor route: Laura Glauser, Beatrice Edwige, Hatadou Sako, Kristina Jorgensen or Bruna de Paula.
Sarah is a unique talent in the world of handball. He has already made his mark in the Champions League and major international tournaments at such a young age. She combines physical strength, courage and game intelligence in an exceptional way, which makes her a high-class player at the highest level. Her timing in duels, footwork and ability to recognize open spaces will be extremely useful to our offensive game.
I'm really looking forward to the collaboration and I'm sure it will leave a lasting mark on Gyor's shirt. She fits perfectly with the team we want to build: hungry for success, ambitious and courageous
