Sentence for Kwiatkowski. Senator disputes evidence
During a conversation with journalists after leaving the courtroom, Kwiatkowski announced an appeal, criticizing the way the proceedings were conducted. He stated that the evidence in the case was based on “recordings cut up to suit a preconceived thesis” and emphasized that he had not yet received the originals of these materials. In a statement provided to the Polish Press Agency, the senator said that the court issued a verdict without sufficient evidence.
The court acquitted Kwiatkowski of one of the four charges, and Jan Bury of one of the three charges. Both defendants agreed to give their names to the media. However, the final decision on the appeal and further developments remain in the hands of the justice system.
