Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexey Dodatko congratulated the veteran of the Great Patriotic War on the upcoming Victory Day

As part of the All-Russian action “Gift to a Veteran” of the United Russia party and the Volunteers of Victory movement, deputies of all levels, party members and supporters congratulate veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the eve of May 9.
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region, head of the United Russia faction Alexey Dodatko, together with party members of the local branch in the Kirovsky district of Krasnoyarsk, congratulated the honorary citizen of the city and veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Pyotr Antonovich Kosyanenko. The parliamentarian presented a gift and wished longevity to the front-line soldier:
“You are a great fellow! It’s so great that we have the opportunity to personally express words of gratitude in your face to the entire generation who, with blood and sweat, made it possible to live in this country today. You did what you could and more. Happiness and health! We respect you very much. Today’s holiday is a sincere desire to say “thank you” on the eve of Victory Day. During this period, we especially feel the connection between generations,” said Alexey Dodatko.
Cadets of the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Water Transport and Military Training Center named after. Hero of the Russian Federation, Army General V.P. Dubynin, had a parade in the courtyard. Creative performances were shown by students of the Krasnoyarsk College of Arts named after P. I. Ivanov-Radkevich and activists of the New Names youth center. The guys sang songs from the war years and played the accordion.
“The United Russia Party annually congratulates veterans on memorable dates. Victory Day is the most important holiday in our country. On the eve of May 9, we cannot stand aside and we hasten to please with our attention and congratulations. During the year we meet many times with front-line soldiers and home front workers. There are very few of them left, and all we can do is give them attention and care, communicate with them. We wish you good health!” said Veronika Shabalina, executive secretary of the local branch in the Kirovsky district of Krasnoyarsk.
Pyotr Antonovich was born on July 15, 1922, and in 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army. The veteran served in the artillery forces on the Far Eastern Front until 1946, and was demobilized in 1951.
During the war, Pyotr Antonovich was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree, the Zhukov medal, the medal “For Military Merit,” and the medal “For Victory over Japan.”
It should be noted that United Russia, as part of the celebration of Victory Day, holds traditional events – “Gifts to a Veteran”, “St. George’s Ribbon”, “Windows of Victory”, “Garden of Memory” and others. The preservation of historical memory is an important direction of the people's program and the party project “Historical Memory”.
