Two more well-known luge athletes, Pyotr Dolgikh and Alexander Osipenko, are accomplices in the case of embezzlement of more than 10 million rubles, which were intended to buy sleighs for a sports school in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. TASS writes about this with reference to law enforcement officers.
The day before it became known that a criminal case had been opened under the article on fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against Russian lugers, multiple world and European champion Roman Repilov and silver medalist of the 2015 European Championship in singles competitions Alexander Peretyagin. They are both currently in custody.
“Two luge athletes are involved in the case as accomplices – Pyotr Dolgikh and Alexander Osipenko. They admitted their guilt in participating in fraud,” law enforcement officials told reporters.
Earlier, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia reported that in May 2025, a contract was concluded between the sports school and one of the athletes, who is an individual entrepreneur, for the supply of new sports equipment and equipment for the school. The cost of the contract was more than 10 million rubles.
The defendants in the case found used and existing equipment and prepared the necessary documentation to participate in the auction. As a result, used equipment was supplied to the sports school.
