A lynx that was walking near a kindergarten in Megion (KhMAO) was sent for rehabilitation to Krasnoyarsk. This was reported by Vestnik of the Surgut Region with reference to the administration of the Yugra city.
Zoologists explained that it is impossible to immediately release the predator back into the forest – it needs recovery. In the center “Instinct” A special enclosure was prepared for the animal in the taiga, away from people. Specialists will help the lynx adapt and return to its natural habitat.
Experts say hunger due to the abnormally harsh winter is one of the likely reasons for the wild animal’s release to people.
Before being sent to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the lynx was temporarily kept in an enclosure on the territory of a municipal institution. At this time, as the mayor's office said, she was fed exclusively raw chicken.
