Donald Trump criticizes Putin. “I don't know why he does it”

Trump again spoke about his disappointment with the Russian leader's attitude during a meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei at the White House.
— I am very disappointed because Vladimir and I had a very good relationship. That's probably still the case. I don't know why he continues to fight this war. This war was so bad for him. He is entering a four-year war that he should win in a week. “Soon it will be the fourth year, he lost one and a half million soldiers, probably more, certainly wounded, without legs and arms,” Trump said. – And you know, they have long lines for gas in Russia now – who would have guessed? — and suddenly its economy will collapse, he added.

Trump admitted he would like to see Russia do well, but Putin “simply doesn't want to end this war,” even though he could do so quickly. He praised the Ukrainians' resistance, saying that no one could have expected that after almost four years of fighting they would lead to a stalemate.
The US president confirmed that he intends to talk on Friday with President Zelensky about the sale of Tomahawk cruise missiles.
– He wants a gun. He would like to have Tomahawks. “Everybody wants different things, and we have plenty of Tomahawks,” Trump said, then turned to the Argentine president: “Do you need any Tomahawks?” Do you need them for your opposition? You see, in this country [w USA] they would use Tomahawks against the opposition. I don't do that. I'm much nicer. Democrats would use them if they had the chance. They are sick, said the American leader.
