Ioan Varga, the owner of the CFR Cluj club, claims that he received an offer from England for Lindon Emerllahu, a midfielder that FCSB also wanted.
Initially, the financier of the group from Gruia had announced that it had reached an agreement with Polissya Zhytomyr for 1.5 million euros. The Kosovar would have received an annual salary of 500,000 euros at the team in 3rd place in the first league of Ukraine.
“We understood with the people from Polissya, Lindon also agreed to go to Ukraine, because the salary is very tempting for him. I am satisfied with the amount they gave us and they seem like very serious people to me. He is going to have a medical visit on Monday,” Varga told fanatik.ro.

Varga later revealed that he received a better offer from England, without specifying which team.
“I just said that we are in discussions, because they seem like serious people and that we will make a decision. The English insist and give more. We haven't made a decision yet. I want to take more money and the English give more”, said Varga, quoted by gsp.ro.
Emerllahu arrived at CFR Cluj in February, when the Transylvanian group paid 700,000 euros to FC Ballkan. He scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 40 games and has a market share of 1.3 million euros, according to transfermarkt.com.
