The University of Craiova defeated the FC Argeş team, score 2-1, in the 17th stage of the SuperLigă, notes Orange Sport, on Friday evening, away, at the debut of the new coach, Filipe Coelho.
After the match, the coach of the Pitesti team, Bogdan Andone, sounded the alarm
“Let's be thankful that we are in the Super League”
“It's a disappointment, it's a frustration. Craiova, until scoring the first goal, didn't even enter the box. We conceded simple goals, far too easy. There are moments of the game that we didn't manage well. Craiova is an experienced team, but the upset remains: we had 13 corners, they had zero.
I'm disappointed, and so are the boys. It's difficult, because in the last two stages we met two very good teams, and if we managed certain moments of the game better, I think we could have done more.
It's clear that the play-offs are too much for us at the moment. Even though we are in 5th place now, I don't think we are at the level of the other teams. It is difficult to fight with FCSB, U Cluj or CFR for a place in the play-off.
The boys had attitude and I want to congratulate them for that, but the difference in quality and value exists: it is one thing to pay a player with 7 thousand, another with 20 thousand; one is to give 1.2 million to a player, another is to take from the market, for free. For now, let's be thankful that we are in the Super League and that we are in the first part of the ranking”, said Bogdan Andone, after the failure with Craiova.
