Cristian Tudor Popescu has sounded an alarm about the parliamentary elections that will take place in the Republic of Moldova on September 28, on Monday, on B1 TV, and considers that “diplomatic interventions” are needed to “try to help the pro-European party there.”
The newspaper spoke about the effects that a pro-Russian forces would have at the election at the end of September.
“I would like to draw attention to an aspect that is very little, at all, treated by the press and the politicians in Romania, namely the Republic of Moldova. It has been spoken, I have seen titles now, how almost the border of Russia from Romania will reach what will happen to Ukraine. Moldova, to have a border with Russia, ”said CTP.
He warns that the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, “will be isolated” if the Chisinau Parliament will be controlled by the pro-Russian parties.
“If the pro-Russian parties win the majority in the Parliament win, Maia Sandu will be isolated, it will be paralyzed, they will not have to do, and there, of course, the Russians with weapons and luggage will be installed. This is a huge danger, because the Republic of Moldova is the heart exposed, if it can be done. What problems will Romania have ”, continued Cristian Tudor Popescu.
The CTP claims that the Romanian press does not pay the subject the necessary attention.
“And Romania should have some diplomatic exits at the moment, some diplomatic interventions for the Moldovan elections, to try to influence in a way, to help the pro-European party there,” concluded Cristian Tudor Popescu.
