When the snow stops. Here's what the weather forecast looks like after winter came again overnight

The beginning of the week brought heavy snow to Bucharest and several areas in the south of the country. It is driven in winter conditions on several roads, where road workers intervene. The weather will be frosty today as well as in the following days, with a weather warning valid until February 4, according to ANM.
According to ANM, in the first half of the week the weather will be particularly cold, freezing at night and in the morning, then the temperatures will increase, even exceeding 10 degrees in the west and center. Snow is forecast until Wednesday, February 4.
Temperatures up to -20 degrees
Until Wednesday, particularly low temperatures will be recorded in Moldova, Dobrogea, eastern and southeastern Transylvania, in Muntenia and Oltenia and isolated in southern Banat.
Thus, in these regions the minimum temperatures will generally be between -20 and -7 degrees, and the maximum between -15 and -2 degrees, with the lowest values in the north of Moldova, where the frost will persist throughout the days.
Starting from Sunday evening, the snowfall extended to the southern half of the territory, and a snow layer of up to 10 cm was deposited.
Until 10 a.m. a yellow code of blizzard snow is valid in the counties of Caraș-Severin, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov, including the municipality of Bucharest, Buzău, the west of the counties of Brăila, Ialomița and Călărași and in the counties of Constanța, Tulcea (especially the coastal area).
In these areas, “there will be intensification of the wind with gust speeds generally of 50…55 km/h, temporarily blizzarding the snow”, reports ANM.
Snow also during the day on Monday
And during the day on Monday it will snow again lightly, locally in the west, south and southeast and isolated in the rest. In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the center and northeast there will be mixed precipitation, and on limited areas sleet or ice will form.
The wind will show local intensification in the southeastern and southern regions with speeds generally of 40…50 km/h, amplifying the feeling of cold, and in the southeast of Oltenia, in the south, center and east of Muntenia and in Dobrogea, the snow will temporarily be blizzard.
Later, however, from February 4, the weather will gradually warm up thanks to a warm air table advancing from the Atlantic Ocean, according to ANM.
“Temperatures are rising, even exceeding 10 degrees, in the western part, and at the level of the entire country, temperatures will be above multi-year averages. That is, temperatures during the day between 0 and 10 degrees, isolated even higher, and at night between -4 and -6 degrees,” said Mihai Huștiu, on Sunday, in an intervention on Digi24.
After the snow comes the rains
The meteorologist warns that, due to the sudden temperature difference, there will be deposits of hail, ice or fog.
“In the second part of the week, against the background of increasingly high temperatures, the precipitation also begins, especially in the form of rain, but be careful from this transition from very cold air to very warm air during the week, it is very likely that it will be possible again to deposit sleet, ice or fog in certain areas,” said Huștiu.
The wave of positive temperatures will be a short one, however. The frost will return over Romania again after February 9-10.
“From Wednesday this warmer air enters, but very probably after a few warmer days, the cold air will return to our country, especially in the eastern, northeastern part of the country, sometime after February 9-10,” the meteorologist said.
