Krasnoyarsk doctors reminded about the dangers of self-medication with antibiotics

Experts from the Krasnoyarsk Public Health Center said that antibiotic resistance has become one of the most serious threats to public health.

According to doctors, the main reason for the development of bacterial resistance is self-medication. Many people take antibiotics without a doctor's prescription, including for viral infections, when these drugs are useless. Premature termination of the course of treatment and violation of the dosage also contribute to the problem.

Doctors remind the rules: take only as prescribed by a specialist, follow the prescribed dosage and course duration, do not stop taking it even if symptoms disappear.
