Over the course of a week, the Russian Federation launched more than 1.7 thousand drones and missiles across Ukraine. Zelensky announced negotiations with Europe on air defense

In total, the Russian occupiers used almost 1,750 attack UAVs, 1,530 spacecraft and 39 missiles against the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. As Zelensky explained, the aggressor had energy facilities and residential buildings in his sights.

Most Russian targets were neutralized by Ukrainian air defense forces, but the head of state emphasized that Ukraine needs more appropriate means to protect itself.

“First of all, these are air defense missiles, and therefore contributions and supplies under the PURL program are key. And I thank everyone who continues to support. We must continue to strengthen sanctions on Russia and its accomplices. Everything that helps the Russian Federation finance and continue this war must be blocked. Today there will be negotiations with European partners on each of these elements,” Zelensky noted.
