The social project “Romania in light” will start its first event on Monday, which will take place at the Cotroceni Palace, being dedicated to the National Day of Premature Children. The project is organized with the involvement of Mirabela Grădinaru, the life partner of President Nicusor Dan.
According to the Presidential Administration, the first event in this series will be organized by ARNIS – the Romanian Association for Long-Term Hospitalized Newborns, in partnership with the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Health, with the involvement of Mirabela Grădinaru, according to News.ro.
The event will take place on Monday, November 17, in the Union Hall of the Cotroceni Palace, starting at 3:30 p.m.
On this occasion, “a round table will be organized for the creation of an intersectoral partnership in order to guarantee the rights to life, health and development for newborns at risk”, according to the Presidency Administration.
The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, the presidential advisor Diana Iancu, the state advisor Diana Punga, Associate Dr. Cătălin Gabriel Cîrstoveanu, the president of the Neonatology Commission from the Ministry of Health, representatives of the World Health Organization, parliamentarians from the specialized commissions, professionals in the medical field, as well as Mirabela Grădinaru, herself the mother of two children born prematurely, will participate.
Monday evening, from 6:20 p.m., on the Baroque Plateau, the Cotroceni Palace will be lit up in purple, a symbol of solidarity and hope for prematurely born children and their families.
“Romania in light”, a project with a social character, aims to bring to public attention fundamental issues for the health, education and well-being of children, young people, women and vulnerable categories in society, announced the Presidential Administration.
“This initiative is meant to create a dialogue framework between public authorities, non-governmental organizations and the community to jointly identify concrete and sustainable solutions”, said the quoted source.
