Three former planes from the Blue Air fleet will become hotels and restaurants: “Arousing the interest of many investors”

Three aircraft frames from the bankrupt Blue Air fleet have been awarded over €140,000 and will be converted into hotels and restaurants.

“Two more aircraft frames are waiting to be transported from Otopeni airport. The entrepreneur from Braşov who he wants to build a hotel in an airplane he recently bought one, and the other was awarded by another businessman from the country. We still have two airplanes and two airframes listed on the platform, which arouse the interest of many investors, especially in the HoReCa and events areas, which is why we have already scheduled the auctions”said Flavius ​​Drăghici, COO of azitis.com, writes Agerpres.

The non-engine Boeing 737-530, Boeing B737-5L9 and Boeing B737-322 planes were awarded by Romanian entrepreneurs for over 45,000 euros each, to be transformed into hotels and restaurants.

Several frames for sale

The platform also currently lists for sale a Boeing 737-530 airframe, manufactured in 1991, with 120 seats, under conservation since 2020, a Boeing 737-3YO airframe, manufactured in 1991, with 118 seats, in good condition and two Boeing 737-500 aircraft that can be returned to service. The starting price of the planes is 238,250 euros, each, and for the airframes the auction starts from 10,750 and 11,000 euros, respectively.

The planes with and without engines listed for sale belonged to Blue Air, which has been in bankruptcy since July 2025. The company entered insolvency on March 22, 2023 and is owned by the state.
