Barometer Informat.ro- INSCOP reveals consistent differences between voting options in the urban environment where the competition is balanced between AUR, PSD, USR and PNL, respectively those in the countryside where AUR massively dominates electoral preferences, closely followed by PSD. This structure reflects not only partisan options, but different ways of relating to political power and public discourse. The urban, exposed to media diversity and a more deliberative political culture generates a more fragmented electorate, with diverse preferences. The countryside, on the other hand, operates on the basis of a stronger symbolic cohesion, where the formation of opinion depends on traditional networks that, against the background of social and economic problems much more acute than in the urban, favor parties with a populist, radical discourse or that offer the feeling of protection”. transmitted Remus Ștefureac, director of INSCOP Research.

The Informat.ro BAROMETER – INSCOP Research is a monthly opinion survey conducted by INSCOP Research at the behest of the Informat.ro news platform in partnership with the Strategic Thinking Group think-tank.

The data were collected between October 26 – November 3, 2025. Research method: interview via questionnaire. The data were collected by the CATI method (telephone interviews), the volume of the simple, stratified sample being 3000 people, representative of the significant socio-demographic categories (sex, age, occupation) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 and over. The maximum allowed error of the data is ± 1.8%, at a confidence level of 95%.

In order to obtain statistically relevant data on socio-demographic segments, the survey carried out in November focused only on two questions (the direction of the country and the intention to vote for political parties), but it was applied to a significantly larger sample (of 3000 respondents), compared to the usual samples of 1100 respondents in which we usually ask 25-30 questions.
