Nicușor Dan, “substantial” discussion on the phone with Zelenski, to establish a “strategic partnership” between Romania and Ukraine

President Nicușor Dan announced on Friday that he had a telephone conversation, during the day, with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, which he described as substantial. “At the bilateral level, we agreed to continue working to establish a strategic partnership,” the head of state said.
“Substantial discussion by phone with Ukrainian President Zelensky today regarding the current security situation and the need to intensify efforts to achieve a lasting and just peace in Ukraine,” President Dan wrote in a message posted on the X social network.
“Ukraine must win this war because it is fighting for the security of Europe as a whole and for our common values,” Nicușor Dan said.
“At the bilateral level, we have agreed to continue working to establish a strategic partnership. Both sides are committed to implementing a pragmatic, forward-looking and sustainable agenda,” the head of state said.
