Due to the war in the Middle East, global supplies of anti-aircraft missiles are running out, Armin Papperger, head of the German arms company Rheinmetall, said on Thursday.

– At the moment, warehouses in Europe, the USA and the Middle East are empty or almost empty. There is a huge demand for missiles and air defense systems, Papperger said in an interview with CNBC.
The head of Rheinmetall assessed that “If the war lasts another month, we will have virtually no missiles left“.
– It's a simple calculation. If you produce 60-70 thousand drones, and the price of one is 20-30 thousand. dollars, it is nothing compared to the costs of fighting them Papperger said.
He added that Rheinmetall representatives are currently in the Middle East, where they are talking to partners interested in purchasing the German company's systems.
The United States, together with Israel, has been attacking Iran since February 28, which is carrying out counterstrikes in the Middle East. Israel attacked Iran's South Pars gas field, the largest known gas field in the world, on Wednesday evening. Iran responded with air strikes against energy facilities in the Persian Gulf countries, including: in the Ras Laffan complex in Qatar, one of the world's main LNG gas production plants. (PAP)
