The victims of the explosion in Rahova, stable after operations. The 17-year-old is conscious
The victims of the explosion in Sector 5 of the Capital, admitted and operated on at the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital are in a stable condition, while the 17-year-old girl admitted to the Hospital “Grigore Alexandrescu” she is aware and cooperative.

“The patients admitted to the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital are in a stable condition. From a surgical point of view, the two traumatized during the explosion have been treated. At this moment, they are stable, with no life risk. In the immediate period, they will be strictly supervised, until the moment of discharge”the representatives of the health unit announced on Monday morning, quoted by News.ro.
The patient who was already operated on in another hospital is starting his recovery, they also reported.
According to the data made public on Friday afternoon by the Ministry of Health, at the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital – Floreasca there are: a 68-year-old man – operated on by emergency and undergoing additional imaging investigations and under specialist monitoring; a 58-year-old woman – fractures in the pelvis and lumbar spine; requiring surgical intervention; an 86-year-old man – no post-traumatic injuries; admitted to the surgery department for monitoring.

As for the 17-year-old girl admitted to the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Hospital, she has rib and spine fractures, but is conscious and cooperative.
Initially, two patients were taken to the “Grigore Alexandrescu” Children's Emergency Clinical Hospital, victims of the explosion in Sector 5: a boy with cranio-cerebral trauma and sutured wounds, clavicle fracture; hospitalized in the neurosurgery department, under medical-surgical supervision and a girl, intubated and mechanically ventilated; operated in the neurosurgery department. The boy was discharged.
In the morning of Friday, October 17, a powerful explosion destroyed a block in the Rahova neighborhood, sector 5 of the Capital. The explosion was so intense that it was heard up to 10 kilometers away, in Popești-Leordeni, Ilfov county. Three people lost their lives.
Among the victims is a 24-year-old seven-month pregnant woman who lost her life along with her unborn baby girl.
The authorities have opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of the tragedy. The first indications show that an accumulation of gases would have caused the explosion, but specialists are analyzing all hypotheses.
