Poland's debt goes to 60% of GDP. Euro course stable

Minister Domański assured that in 2025 (emphasizing from the editor) public debt will not exceed 60% of GDP. This statement did not affect the euro exchange rate, which has been consolidating in the range of PLN 4.20-4.30 for nearly a month.
– For 2025 we anticipate that the debt will exceed 57%, so we still have a little bit to these 60% – said Minister of Finance Andrzej Domański on Radio One. In April, the Central Statistical Office said that the debt of the government and local government sector (so -called general Government) amounted to 55.3% of GDP at the end of 2024 in the long -term budget plan, which the government sent the European Commission, assumed that in 2026 the deficit of the public finance sector will exceed 60% of GDP.


For now, however, financial markets do not pay much attention to Poland's financial problems. On Wednesday in the morning of the euro it was traded at the exchange rate PLN 4.2672. So practically unchanged relative to the end of Tuesday's quotas. For four weeks, the EUR/PLN exchange rate ranges in the range of 4.20-4.30 PLN. From mid-April, the compartment of Eurozłoty's fluctuations narrowed to the range of PLN 4.25-4.30.

The situation also calmed down on the most important currency pair in the world. You currently have to pay about $ 1,1390 for the euro. Near such values, the EUR/USD exchange rate “rests” after strong increases from March and April, when starting from 1.04 he quickly reached the height of USD 1.1572.
Thanks to this, we paid PLN 3.7431 on the dollar for the dollar on Wednesday morning. This means maintaining a USD/PLN exchange rate in the range of PLN 3.70-3.80, in which we move from April 11. A week ago, the dollar has temporarily cost up to PLN 3.70 and was the cheapest since June 2021.
The Swiss franc course also stabilized. You had to pay PLN 4,5444 for the Helweck currency, which is 0.6 grosze more than the day before. Local correction has been going on for two weeks on the Frank-Gold pair after an increase from PLN 4.35 to PLN 4.66, the CHF/PLN exchange rate from the inheritance channel lasting from the end of November.
