Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the whole country will be able to test their knowledge about the culture, traditions and history of the peoples of Russia at the “Great Ethnographic Dictation”. The X All-Russian educational event, organized by the Federal Agency for National Affairs, will be held from November 1 to November 8.
In this anniversary year, which is also the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, for the first time in the history of the dictation, soldiers of a special military operation will ask their questions to the participants via video link. In addition, the “Suggest a question” tab is already open on the promotion’s website, where everyone can contribute to the creation of the test. The authors of the best questions will receive memorable prizes.
The promotion will traditionally take place in two formats. You can take part in person at specially organized venues or online on the official website, which makes the dictation accessible to everyone.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the most active participants in the action and over the past years has been one of the five leading regions. In 2024, more than 195 thousand residents of the region wrote a dictation, which was the third result in the country after Moscow and Bashkortostan.
“Ethnographic dictation is a way to encourage people to think about who we are, what people we belong to, and at the same time feel like Russians, residents of one large and powerful country. If someone cannot cope with the questions, this will be a reason to look for additional information that expands their horizons. We always strive to be one of the best platforms and, I think, this year we will set another record for the number of participants. We invite all residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to join the action,” said First Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Ponomarenko.
The results of the action will be announced on December 12, Constitution Day. The organizers invite everyone to test their knowledge and become part of a project that has been uniting the country for ten years.
