The speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation threatened Ukraine and the West with “weapons that will not leave a trace on anyone”

The head of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, threatened to use unknown weapons due to Western support for Ukraine and the use of Starlink systems by the Ukrainian military. Volodin’s press service published a fragment of his speech on May 26 in Telegram.

The Russian speaker said that the use of Western weapons and satellite technologies to attack targets in the occupied territories could allegedly force Russia to resort to the use of weapons “that will not leave a trace on anyone.”

Volodin also addressed the American billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, saying that his Starlink satellites were allegedly involved in the attack on occupied Starobilsk on May 22.

“The same Elon Musk must understand that his companions are used to kill children. His respectable image does not fit in with what is actually happening,” Volodin said.

The speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation also added that he ordered the preparation of an appeal to the parliaments of other states calling on them to stop supporting Ukraine.

Previously, the Russian military itself actively used Starlink terminals to coordinate units and control drones.

At the beginning of 2026, Ukraine got SpaceX to turn off devices that were not registered in the country, after which, according to the Ukrainian side, the pace of advance of Russian troops slowed down significantly.
