By order, the Minister of State Assets established a team for the participation of domestic companies in investments of key importance to the state – it was announced in the Official Journal of the Minister of State Assets.

In the Official Journal on October 10 this year. an order of the Minister of State Assets, Wojciech Balczun, was published regarding the establishment of the Team for the Participation of the Domestic Component in Key Investment Processes, the so-called Local Content, i.e. the participation of Polish companies in investments that are strategic for the state. As stated, it enters into force on October 11 this year.
“Contrary to the opinions of 'experts', we do not talk at all, we only act,” Balczun commented on the X platform.
As stated in the order, the team will be an auxiliary body of the Minister of State Assets, and its establishment constitutes “implementation of the policy priorities of the Council of Ministers”.
The document indicates that the team's tasks will include “defining the concept of the national component in key investment processes”, i.e. the participation of Polish companies in investments that are strategic for the state.
The team is also to identify economic sectors within which key investments will be implemented requiring the “widest possible involvement” of domestic companies, “taking into account the guidelines resulting from applicable development strategies, programs and programming documents, as well as public policies of the Council of Ministers and the European Union.”
The team is also to define “a methodology for measuring the share of the domestic component in key investment processes.”
In mid-September this year. During the Energy from Poland – Local First conference, Prime Minister Donald Tusk noted that in the years to come, investing in the development potential of Polish companies “will become a huge national profit.” He assured that the government will consistently take care of the interests of Polish enterprises. The Prime Minister also declared that Polish companies would not be discriminated against “just because this is how the history of recent years has been.”
Wojciech Balczun, the Minister of State Assets, emphasized that the government was preparing guidelines regarding the state's purchasing policy. – We are preparing a project titled “The Power of Polish Business, the Power of Polish Capital, the Power of the Polish Economy and Polish Entrepreneurs”. We are in talks with the Public Procurement Office, where we will jointly prepare guidelines for the state's purchasing policy by the end of the year, he said. The minister added that the government's priorities are re-Polonization understood as local content, i.e. the participation of Polish entrepreneurs.
– This is a time when we must all be patriots and economic nationalists and look for solutions that will support the Polish economy. (…) We have really great potential in virtually every sector of the economy. We're not just talking about offshore energy; we are talking generally about energy, we are talking about the defense industry, infrastructure, the nuclear industry. These are all large investment programs that will mean trillions of zlotys in investments over the next decade, Balczun emphasized during the conference. (PAP)
