“The Republics of Tuva and Khakassia, the Krasnoyarsk Territory are regions that are traditionally studied by various archaeological organizations, including state Hermitage, Kunstkamer, and the Institute of History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences. About six expeditions are currently working from our institute in Siberia: Sayanskaya is studying the Minusinsk basin, the Asian nomadic expedition explores the mound complex of Tunnug in the Republic of Tyva. We reached such a serious level of finds that it is possible to compare this situation, perhaps, with the times of the construction of hydroelectric power stations – then the artifacts discovered then to this day continue to be studied by the archaeological community. The scientific value of the reports of the congress that have undergone a strict selection is really high – this is an exhaustive report on work and breakthrough discoveries in our region recently throughout Russia, including its new regions, ”said Andrei Polyakov, a doctor of historical sciences, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the director of the Institute of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Archaeological School from the Humanitarian Institute of the Siberian Federal District will familiarize colleagues with collections collected during excavations in the territory of Yenisei Siberia. Also, at the front edge of archaeological science, there is a paleogenetics – information about ancient people obtained by deciphering their genome. It is pleased that in Krasnoyarsk, including on the basis of the Siberian Federal District, several generations of talented archaeologists working in the line of the Siberian Archaeological School have already grown, ”said the head of the Paleometal archeology, chief researcher, doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vyacheslav Molodin.
