The party of Maia Sandu obtained almost 90% of the votes of Moldovan citizens who voted in the sections organized in Romania

Nearly 30,000 Moldovan citizens voted in the 23 polling stations organized on the territory of Romania for the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova. The votes of this votes were obtained in an overwhelming proportion of action and solidarity (step), currently in government, according to the partial results after counting 22 of 23 sections in Romania.

The formation of Maia Sandu took 88.36% of the votes expressed on the territory of Romania. PAS was followed by our party, led by Renato Usatîi (2.48%), by the “alternative” of which the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban (1.99%) and the “patriotic block” of former President Igor Dodon (1.89%).

The result of Moldova is one superior to the one obtained by step in the diaspora. After counting 249 out of 301 voting sections in the diaspora, PAS has 77.9% of votes, followed by our party by 5.7%.

On the territory of Moldova, PAS has 44.1%, followed by the “Patriots block” with 28.2%and “alternative” with 9.21%. The distribution of the vote on the Moldavian map shows that PAS has won in most regions, while the “patriotic block” won in the north of the country, in the Gagauzia Autonomous Region and Transnistria.

Agora.md estimates say that PAS will gather 53 mandates in Parliament with 101 places, while the patriotic block will have 27 mandates.

It is a smaller majority than the current one, but a better result than that suggested by most polls.
