Nawrocki calls the government into a drone plaque. MON: BBN was informed

President Karol Nawrocki said on Tuesday that he was expecting from the prime minister and the government full of information on the damaged house in Wyryki. He added that neither he nor the BBN got information on this subject.

The daily “Rzeczpospolita” reported on Tuesday – citing anonymous sources “in the most important structures of the state dealing with the security of the state” – that the house, which was damaged in the village of Przeryki in the province. Lublin, it was not damaged by a falling drone, but by the F-16 F-16 anti-aircraft AIM-120 AMRAAM anti-aircraft. According to the newspaper, the rocket was to have a damaged guidance system (one of the Russian drones), however, there were security, thanks to which it did not explode after hitting the house.

Nawrocki was asked at a press conference in Paris whether he was informed on a regular basis about the circumstances of damage to the house in Wyryki. The president replied that he was informed about this situation by his colleagues.

However, I have to admit that I am also concerned, because neither I nor the BBN, believing in the text of “Rzeczpospolita”, I refer only to the text of “Rzeczpospolita”, I do not know today, what is the truth, but if the editor asks me whether the President of Poland got information on this topic, or whether BBN got information on this topic, it did not happen, it did not happen – said Nawrocki.

– So immediately after landing (in Warsaw) I expect from the Prime Minister and from the Polish government full of information on this subject – said the president.

Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz referred to Nawrocki's speech. “Operational commander of the Armed Forces General Maciej Klisz provided all information and conclusions from the analysis of actions taken as a result of violation of Polish aircraft by Russian drones,” wrote on platform X the head of the Ministry of National Defense.

He emphasized that representatives of the National Security Bureau, the General Staff of the Polish Army and the Ministry of Defense were informed about the events. Kosiniak-Kamysz added that “services are responsible for the full explanation of these events and the activities are carried out in accordance with the procedures.” “The effects and conclusions will be transferred after its completion,” he announced.

“Suggestions about attempts to classify or silence the above events are a lie. Military and services perform their work exemplary, and full responsibility for the losses resulting from the unprecedented Russian provocation is borne by the aggressor” – emphasized the head of the Ministry of National Defense.

The entry of the head of the Ministry of National Defense was commented by the head of the National Security Bureau Sławomir Cenckiewicz, who wrote on the X platform: “For the good of Poland and the seriousness of the further polemic situation will not. Yes, Russia is guilty, but in the fight against it our weapon is true!”

The BBN, in turn, stated that until the publication by the “Rzeczpospolita” information about the incident in the town of Przeryki President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki or the National Security Bureau “did not receive a report on the facts in this case.” “At today's meeting of the Security Committee, information provided in this respect to the participants of the briefing – including the deputy head of the BBN General Brysia – were general and unconcistent. – wrote BBN.

The office pointed out that “the unambiguous position of the Polish government in this matter was presented on September 12 this year at the international forum, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcin Bosacki during the UN Security Council, indicating that the destruction of the house in Wyryków is the result of the impact of the Russian unmanned aerial vehicle.”

“The President of the Republic of Poland is still waiting for a precise report in this matter, and the society rightly demands the truth and reliable information,” the BBN's entry has concluded.

The spokesman of the Ministry of National Defense Janusz Sejmej, when asked by PAP about the reports of “Rzeczpospolita”, said that the ministry does not comment on them. He assured, however, that the army would support the victims of a damaged house – he was already helping to clean the damage, and then reward them with losses on the same principles as it is, e.g. in the case of losses caused by military exercises or aviation activities.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk also referred to the matter on Tuesday. “All responsibility for damage to the house in Wyryków falls on the authors of the drone provocation, i.e. Russia. The relevant services will inform the public, the government and the president after the end of the proceedings. Paws of Polish soldiers” – wrote on portal X.

On the night of September 9-10, during the night attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine, the Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. Defense procedures were launched. Drones, which were a direct threat, were shot down by Polish and allied aviation. This is the first time in the modern history of Poland, when the air forces used armaments in the airspace of the country. (PAP)
