The announcement comes after the dismissal of Sorin Lucaci from the position of director of the “Romanian Waters”.
“We decided to give a new direction to the Romanian waters. We will have an interim director for a transient period, which has a very clear mandate of transparency, which has a very clear mandate of reorganization. It is Mr. Florin Ghiță,” announced Diana Buzoianu, in a press conference, quoted by Agerpres.
The Minister detailed that Florin Ghiță was from 2014 to 2023 head of service within the Argeș-Vedea Ilfov-Bucharest water basin.
“So a man who worked in the field, a man who will be able to build the connection between the ANAR again, ABAs (water basin no) and SGAs (water management system no). A man who has the status of chief engineer of the same administration in Bucharest-Ilfov,” he said.
According to her, Florin Ghiță wrote articles, specialized publications in this field, and will consolidate a team with the mandate of transparency of the institution and its reorganization.
“We want the story of the Romanian Waters to be a story to give hope that things can be changed, although many irregularities have been done in recent years in this institution. From somewhere things have to start, to be improved, and today is the time when we take the first step for reorganizing and efficient and reforming the Romanian Waters,” Diana said.
