Sorin Grindeanu said, on Tuesday evening, in an intervention on Romania TV, that in the document he left to President Nicușor Dan, PSD proposes a 25% cut of the occupied positions of the public administration, 15% more than proposes Prime Minister Bolojan. There is still a condition: the cutting is done.

“We left a material to President Nicușor Dan, a reform that we consider a more balanced solution: a 25% discount on the busy positions, which meant more than Ilie Bolojan proposes,” said the PSD interim president on Romania TV. His statement was then taken over on the party's Facebook page.

The difference between the Prime Minister's proposal and Ilie Bolojan's proposal is that, in the version submitted by the PSD, the occupied positions are done gradually, not at once.

“So not 10% as it is now, but step, with evaluations from 6 to 6 months and after a period, with a safety net for small communities, under 1,500 inhabitants,” explains Grindeanu.

The safety net to which it refers is also mentioned in the document left in Cotroceni in which the differentiation criteria are stipulated when it comes to occupied positions: “Territorial administrative units with less than 1,500 inhabitants – minimum 8–10 basic officials, without reductions under this threshold”.

Coalition leaders called by President in Cotroceni

In the meeting of the Coalition on Sunday, when it was decided to postpone the project aimed at the reform of the local administration, Primererulbolojan threatened to resign then if the reduction plan with 10% of the occupied positions was not approved.

The PNL then proposed a reduction of 40% of the total positions – occupied and unoccupied, which would mean, say Liberals, and the availability of 13,000 officials.

On Tuesday, the prime minister had a press conference and explained how these cuts from the public administration reform.

Later, he went to Cotroceni, where he was called by the president, along with the leaders of the Coalition. The discussions focused on the reform of the local administration-the reason for the coalition voltage.

The leaders of the parties in the Government and the head of the state approved a term two weeks, until mid -September, to agree on the cuts of the local administration, sources participating in discussions told HotNews.

The same sources say that a working group was formed to be formed to be part of the Deputy Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu and Marian Neacșu and the Minister of Development, Cseke Attila, in order to reach a calculation formula to be applied to all the town halls when the availability is made.
