Who received support for the cultural sector?


As part of the second recruitment of the “National Reconstruction Plan for the Culture Sector, the Ministry of Culture separated PLN 102 million between 924 projects.
The list of beneficiaries caused vivid reactions on social media. Users point out that a significant part of the funds went to the organization and artists associated with the current power camp.
The selection of some projects also raises doubts, which – according to Internet users – may not meet the significance criteria for the reconstruction of the cultural sector.
Controversial projects on the subsidy list
One of the most commented cases is a subsidy of PLN 200,000. zloty For the Krystyna Janda foundation for culture for the performance “Theater without barriers: Mr. Hoho” at the Polonia Theater. She received almost 300,000 PLN for the multimedia set of the Freedom Games 2025 – events that, according to Internet users, was eagerly visited by politicians of the current authorities.

Surprising elections and reactions of Internet users
Among the projects that aroused special interest, there was a subsidy in the amount of 197 thousand. PLN for the Toruń Symphony Orchestra for “digital and ecological transformation”. The Ambasada Kultury Foundation received over 183,000 PLN for the initiative entitled “Birthday gift”.

Doubts are also raised by other projects, such as “Ekotransgression and immersion in non -human worlds” (PLN 36,000), “Techno Balcony: Music with a view of the city” (PLN 200,000) or “Colors of masculinity – Tik Tok, dance and bodily experience of male identity” (PLN 36,000).
Political echoes and the granting process
The list of beneficiaries caused criticism from right -wing politicians who emphasize that – in their opinion – “free yachts hide” with current decisions about the division of funds. 4765 applications for grants were submitted in the competition, and the final decisions were made by a selection committee, composed of experts recommended by independent organizations and institutions from the cultural sector and creative industries.
