The heating voucher crystallizes. The Ministry of Energy gave the amounts and criteria

The Ministry of Energy has prepared a project to support poorer heat recipients for the second half of 2025 and 2026, and help will be given to families with an equal or lower income PLN 2454.52 per person and pay heat over PLN 170/GJ – it is given in the list of government work.

The ME said that the planned regulation aims to maintain support for low -income households by covering some of the receivables of heat recipients towards energy enterprises conducting non -concessioned and licensed activities in the field of heat production and distribution resulting from the increase in heating costs.

“Despite the stabilization on the European and world fuel and energy market, the effects of the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine are still felt by society. The heat prices remained at high levels, which is why solutions were extended to eliminate the effects of heat prices increasing until June 30, 2024, and then until June 30, 2025.” – written.

ME estimates that the analysis of the current situation indicates the legitimacy of departing from the use of universal intervention mechanisms and returning to the model of functioning of the energy market from before the crisis.

“Nevertheless, moving away from the support of heat recipients must be implemented in a controlled manner, taking into account primarily the situation of the poorest households, which feel the increase in heat bills to the greatest extent. For this reason, it is proposed to introduce new shielding activities against high prices of low -income persons – for the second half of 2025 and in 2026, with final settlement until the end of 2031 ” – it was written.

The ministry proposes to introduce a cover mechanism in the form of a heating voucher directed to the poorest households that experience high heat prices.

The heating voucher will be paid to households, which:

• they reach income, in the case of single -man households, equal or lower than PLN 3,272.69 and in the case of multi -person households, equal or lower than PLN 2454.52 per one person in the household,
• use system heat (network),
• They pay for heat above PLN 170/GJ,
• The value of the voucher will depend on the heat price in the settlements with the Heating Enterprise after July 1, 2025.

“The heating voucher will be granted on the basis of income criteria, which will allow you to correctly estimate the costs of the entire system. At the same time, the so -called zloty principle for a zloty will apply, which means that the heating voucher will be granted even after exceeding the income criterion, and the amount of the voucher will be reduced by the amount of this exceeding. The minimum amount of heating vouchers paid will be PLN 20. Below PLN 20, the amount of the heating voucher will not be paid” – written. (PAP Biznes)
