Fire in the PCC Rokita chemical plants in Lower Silesia


According to local media, the fire broke out in the square, where plastic tanks with an organic intermediate were stored. The published information shows that about half of them burned.
St. Capt. Daniel Lisiecki, a press officer of the PSP Wołów, in an interview with WP announced that the fire has already been extinguished, and now there is a chemical and ecological group from Wrocław, whose task will be to make measurements regarding contamination.
Lisiecki also informs that during the fight with the element two firefighters suffered, who suffered “light burns”.
“The victim was given help,” said WP Lisiecki.
PCC Rokita in Brzeg Dolny in Lower Silesia is a chemical company with age law. The company has been operating continuously for over 75 years.
PCC Rokita as a dominant entity creates a capital group, which includes several companies operating mainly in the chemical and service industry.
The company belongs to the German PCC SE group, which operates on international markets of chemical raw materials, transport, energy, coal, coke, fuels, plastics and metallurgy.
