5 million euros will receive Dan Tăpălagă and Cristian Pantazi, plus the other smaller shareholders, following the sale of G4media to Radu Budeanu, Hotnews revealed, citing two sources close to the transaction. Asked, Dan Tăpălagă did not denist and did not confirm the amount, saying that “there are confidentiality clauses and I can not say anything.”
Budeanu tried to buy freedom after he had revealed about him
After Freedom revealed in 2020 that Radu Budeanu was incriminated because the prosecutors claimed that it was the stolen money by Bogdan Buzăianu and sent to Elena Udrea Minister, Budeanu tried the same year to buy the Libertatea publication, but Ringier did not want to negotiate with him.

Nicoara: “could not be refused”
On Wednesday evening, the sum of 5 million was also advanced by Orlando Nicoara, a businessman from the media. “At 5+ million euros, as long as the amount paid (also confirmed by my sources) for G4media, would have sold (almost) anyone was instead of the 2,” wrote Orlando Nicoara on Facebook, referring to the tăpăgă and Pantazi, the founders of the publication.
“And at 5+ million euros I think he could buy only Radu Budeanu. The amount is double compared to the price at which Hotnews (no in 2022) was bought. By default it was an exceptionally good transaction for sellers, which could not be refused.”

In February 2020, the publication G4Media published an article with the title “Serious attack on justice and the press. Magistrates and journalists, intercepted and intimidated by the Parallel Secret Service of some high -ranking defendants in Romania”. The concerned were Dan Andronic, Radu Budeanu and Sebastian Ghiță.
“Two magistrates and two journalists were followed step by step, filmed, registered and intimidated by a true secret parallel service in a paparazzi division,” wrote G4media, after Romania TV broadcast images with Horațiu Radu, interim deputy prosecutor of the General Prosecutor's Office, Judge Răzvan Costache Savu (Pro TV) while attending a private event in a restaurant in Bucharest.
“The images were rapidly taken over by the publications, held by Radu Budeanu, researched by DNA, and EVZ, owned by Dan Andronic,” said G4media.
Radu Budeanu is 46 years old. He was sentenced to two years with suspension after concluding an agreement to recognize the guilt in 2020 with the DNA prosecutors, in the Devalization file of Hidroelectrica.
